Hi,
So I purchased a 1 month subscription for the Pro version of YASR (Yet Another Stars Rating).
It was only $5, so it seemed reasonable for the features.
However, it came bundled with this Freemius SDK that will disable the Pro features once my subscription ends. I never expected to be tied into a lifetime of payments just to use the plugin.
So question….
1 – Is that even legal under GPL rules to disable features after you pay for the plugin?
2 – How can I remove the Freemius SDK and just keep the plugin working as-is?
Sorry if this is not the correct forum!
Thanks.
Yes, it is possible to do this. At least the GPL does not limit such behaviour in any way.
