Hi,
I downloaded Woocommerce Subscriptions from GPLDL and added my subscription products a few days ago. Everything was fine at first.
However then I updated Woocommerce today and my site broke. If I tried to go to any page on my website, it took me to:
I realised that I had not long updated Woocommerce, so I deactivated Woocommerce and my site was fine. Eventually I realised that if I activated Woocommerce and deactivated Woocommerce Subscriptions, my site works.
I need Woocommerce Subscriptions to work, as I have a few subscription products. I have downloaded the updated version from your site. But I am unsure how to update it on my site?
Do I just upload the latest version? Or do I need to deactivate or delete the one already on my site first? What is the best way to do it, so I do not lose the subscription information I have already entered?
Thanks in advance,
Layla
You need to delete the old plugin folder via FTP and upload the new version. That will work. Make sure everything else is updated as well to avoid plugin conflicts and security issues.
If I do what you have suggested above, will I lose my subscription info and need to enter it again?
You should not lose subscription infos when deleting the files, as the settings and data are contained in the database. However, it’s always good practice to ensure you make a backup of DB first, then you can reload DB if there is any issue after update of files.
