Welcome to GPLDL - we are still beta - please report any bugs via the contact form.
Wasn’t there themeforest themes here before? I need an update to the Enfold WP theme.
Sorry, no Themeforest Themes here.
Why are there no themeforest themes in this Repository?
Any Reason why there are no themeforest themes here?
Most Themeforest themes are not GPL, therefore illegal to share. Enfold is not GPL.
HERE ARE ALL THE THEMEFOREST GPL THEMES…
HERE ARE ALL GPL PLUGINS…
Please do not ask for items that are not GPL and get this website shutdown.
So how do websites such as X, Y get to distribute all this themes and Plugins without them been shutdown?
Anyway kudos to you guys for making some essential items available really appreciate this resource
Risk / reward I guess. The risk for a copyright holder suing them is pretty low. If they sue and lose it could jeopardize everything (legitimize sharing) vs. winning a few bucks squashing a single pirate site, when 10 more will pop up the next day. Better to let it be and chalk it up to “cost of doing business”.
The court costs alone probably make it very unlikely.
I used to think sharing GPL was a little shady myself, but then I realized- HEY, they chose that license. That is the way they want it. If I need support, I will pay for support.
It would be nice if there was a donate to author button on the website. This would help encourage GPL I think. I always try and donate whenever I use something FREE to encourage the practice, especially if it is used for commercial purposes.
Well said Brian, my whole thought was that it seems that most of this site use offshore hosting were DCMA is ignored so for that reason are able to share those files with being shut down
Guys, we do NOT intend to do anything illegal here and respect the developers rights!
We also see no reason to do anything offshore or to ignore the DMCA.
@Bios: The links to the sites in your post have been removed, because we at least have strong doubts that all of their download offerings are legally okay.
