God bless initiatives like GPLDL! I’m from Brazil and because currency I was unable to start my new project properly, since all the WooCommerce plugins I need would cost me almost one-month salary.
Like most people here I’m just trying to make a living and look for alternatives like that, since the official channels doesn’t think in other contexts and realities outside USA and Dollar… but… I need to be honest, I’m afraid to use the plugins and themes ’cause I don’t know if they’re really clean, without any injections, malwares and stuff like that.
The last thing I need is finish my project all full of hopes and dreams… just to see my site raided by Chinese hackers, kidnappers from ISIS, BitCoin miners, E-mail harvesters and other stuff like that. :(
So… if anyone want to share experiences and opinions, it will be great.
Thanks!

December 30, 2019 at 9:54 am #219557h3hKeymaster@Claron Chatmon: Are you seriously saying you suspect GPLDL plugins and themes to be the reason why you receive spam emails????
June 18, 2020 at 2:11 am #22416WPSavageParticipantJust realized this was here. To clear up my situation or the issue I think I was new to the service and there are no refunds – at the time of publishing I had a premium divi license along the time I started using gpldl, the site I installed the divi from here on was getting massive internal spam. It was coming from a contact form file, host couldn’t figure it out, I traced the mail call to specific file lines and still just kept getting them. Left divi since but GPLDL is SAFE – as far as we know lol.
Buy a sub. Support the mission. Build your sites.

It would be hard to test each individual plugin/theme constantly as they are updated just to find some sneaky malware. The creators of this site have the power to do that of course… it’s just the risk you take. Many freemium sites out there are pretty sketchy. I’ve never encountered anything though from this site if that helps.
These plugins are mostly awesome for testing / staging before you purchase the license from publishers for live use.

So don’t worry about anything, just download and use whatever you like to test on localhost or live site, It’s 100% safe.
GPLDL is providing great service for a very long time, so please consider a donation so they can keep this great service running. I am not affiliated with them but I have great confidence in them. Cheers!

June 15, 2024 at 1:59 pm #26113rasomuParticipantI’ve done diff many of them with originals I’ve got the license and are 100% the same, never found they had ever changed a line.
