I’ve purchased some premium GPL plugins and want submit them here to share with the community. Can I do this?
Hi Tom, you can donate the whole account with the respective developers to GPLDL and we can then add the Plugins to the catalog. We cannot accept submissions of users where we cannot be sure that the code has not been changed, therefore this is the only way at the moment.
What if I can share the account for you to login and download stuff?
It only makes sense to donate the whole account. Login-sharing is not allowed in the TOS of most providers and we need to ensure that we can provide updates and do not get the access revoked.
Why not just use their Upvato? The automatic uploads are directly from their accounts. Nobody is going to turn over those accounts because they have clients that they have to support.
Most people who get these GPL plugins do it to test them out and then buy them from places like Envato. This is because is the only way people can test them out to see if it works as its supposed to.
Sites like this are great to actually see if the product works or not. This site has actually increased my purchases because I can totally recommend a plugin or theme to a customer without getting burned with a plugin or theme that does not work for the customer.
Thanks everybody for your kind offers and willingness to support GPLDL with the donation of plugins.
Unfortunately we cannot accept plugins or themes from any third party, because we need to ensure that they are 100% originals.
Any donation might have the risk that the files are manipulated and we do not want to put our users at risk.
So the only ways to support us is currently is to help us spread the word about GPLDL and/or make donations so that we can afford buying additional subscriptions.
