Deacon, we double check all files right after downloading them from the developers for anything malicious and do not publish if there is any doubt. The SimplePress Theme is absolutely clean.
Don’t know what virus checker you are using but it must be a false positive.
Virustotal which uses 56 anti virus routines from all major brands also says that there is not a single issue. Please check yourself:
